Hay varias categorías para matricularse

· provisional registration - for doctors from the UK and EU in their first year of supervised postgraduate training

· Limited registration - for doctors from outside the EU who come to the UK for supervised postgraduate training

full registration - for doctors who have completed a period of supervised training

What are the registration requirements for working as a doctor in the UK?

You must be registered with the General Medical Council (GMC) before you can apply for any of these jobs. Due to EU legislation on free movement, you are only entitled to full registration without examination if you are a citizen of the EEA (see below) and obtained your undergraduate medical qualification in the EEA. If you do not fall into both these categories you will probably be required to sit the PLAB test (Professional Linguistic and Assessment Board) - a language and clinical examination administered by the GMC. Other than in exceptional circumstances, you cannot apply for jobs until you have passed the test. Please contact the GMC if you want to apply for the test.

What are the immigration requirements?

EEA citizens are not subject to any immigration restrictions. If you are from outside the EEA certain restrictions will apply. The rules are fairly complex and you should seek advice from the home office. Some positions may qualify as post-graduate training which requires a different immigration status from non-training posts.
